Kansas City Business Journal names Great American Bank #4 among midsize banks
April 2, 2025 The Kansas City Business Journal released a new article, naming Great American Bank the #4 strongest midsize bank in the Kansas City market!
No. 4: Founded in 2000, Lawrence-based Great American Bank is led by CEO Les Dreiling. It has locations in De Soto, Lake Lotawana, and Kansas City. The bank had zero problems loans in a $383.2 million portfolio, the largest loan total for the top five bank. It also stockpiled $61.7 million in equity capital, the most in the top five. The only thing holding it back is a core-capital ratio of 9.87%, which though quite strong isn’t as burly as the banks ranked above it. (Previous year: Unranked)
